Nicole Scherzinger's Album Killer Love Turns 10 & Here Are My Top 5 Songs
Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Nicole Scherzinger's debut album Killer Love turned 10-years-old yesterday and I wanted to share my top 5 songs from the album.
The album didn't technically release in the US because there was actually a North American version of the album that was being made but the plans were later scrapped. The album did eventually release a couple of weeks ago on Spotify streaming (both the standard & deluxe versions). So, here are my top 5 songs from the album.
5. Wet
"Wet" was released as the fourth single from the album and this song is almost a literal dance track. Essentially, it is almost a faster version of "Buttons" from The Pussycat Dolls but for sure shows true sexiness of Nicole and has a good party time feel to it.
4. Everybody
"Everybody" is a type of love song where Scherzinger sings "everybody needs somebody" which is true. Whether people take it as a friendship, relationship or whatever, this is by far vocally one of my favorite Nicole songs to date.
3. Right There
"Right There" was actually on the album twice/ It was first a solo and then she added 50 Cent to the track. Both versions were released as the third single from the album (first in the US). The song is actually about someone who knows how to get on ones nerves sometimes but if they get a good amount of loving, they're fine lol.
2. Casualty
"Casualty" (along with "Everybody") is also one of Nicole's best vocal songs on the album. Towards the end, Nicole is doing multiple ad-libs and mini belts in the end that can tie the emotion together. This song is actually about that point in the relationship where she doesn't know what to do anymore but she still loves them. Many speculate that this song is about Lewis Hamilton but I'm not sure if they were off during the process of this song.
1. Club Banger Nation
"Club Banger Nation" is well pretty fitting for a club song. This song like some others on the album is a dance track. Talking about staying up and partying all night long (which is what everyone wants right now during this pandemic). During the bridge of the song is one of my favorite parts as Nicole belts out a powerful belting note which is still one of my favorite belts she has ever done.
Anyway these are my top 5 songs from the album and I must say Nicole as a solo artist is slept on. She needs more recognition for her work. I wish this album would've released properly in the US during that time but all well you can't change the past like that. What are your favorite songs from the album? Comment below.
