Lil Nax X Having Major Backlash For Both His Video & His Shoe Line

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Lil Nas X has been under major fire for multiple different projects and such that he has released.

The first thing being his new music video for his single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)." The 21-year-old got major backlash not for the song, but the video as many imply (in particular Christians) have been accusing Nas X of being a "Satin Worshiper." Now people have said this because in the video Lil Nas X is seen going into heaven but then seen sliding down a stripper pole into hell and seeing the devil. He then gives the Devil a lap dance and then steels his head peace for Nas X to become processed be become the new devil.

Now long story short, the video and the song seem to be completely different from each other. Lil Nas X has even explained that the song is actually about a relationship he had with another guy and in the song he wants to "normalize" people being able to be themselves and I appreciate that of the song. The video however, makes it seem like if people try to be "themselves" then some will be going to hell. The video was supposed to help with the LGBTQ community since he too is a part of it. However, with the video, it just made it seem as if people are in the community, then they will go to hell.

Others took it as Lil Nas X saying that he worships the devil. Other people said that he needs to make music for his audience. Now I don't agree with either statement made from people. I am hoping that Lil Nas X DOESN'T worship the devil and for the people saying he needs to know his audience, by the end of the day, its his song and he can do what he wants. So I will say that I like the song because of the message behind it, but the video is a little much for me honestly.

The second thing was Lil Nas X came under fire for his new shoes. The shoes are called "Satan Shoes" and each pair contains actual human blood in the soles I believe but the shoe has the NIKE logo check on them. People assumed that NIKE was a part of the line however, they said they were not.

NIKE is now suing Lil Nas X and to be honest, Lil Nas X doesn't fully seem to care which is a bit concerning. He posted an apology video on his youtube page but when you click it, it shows him with the shoe then skips to a part of the video with him giving the Devil a lap dance from his music video. Lil Nas X also has a restaining order against him from NIKE and NIKE is trying to get Nas X's shoes recalled. NIKE is trying to block all sales for the shoes so they are definitely not happy with Nas X's shoe line.

Anyway what do you all think of Lil Nas X's new video and shoe line? Do you think he should be worried about being sued? Comment below.
