Big Sean Tops Billboard & Justin Bieber Gets Trolled By A Doctor?
Hello everybody, there a couple of topics I wanted to talk about today but I first want to start with Big Sean and then with Justin Bieber.
Big Sean recently released his fifth studio album Detroit 2 and the album officially topped Billboard. This marks the 32-year-old's third album to debut at album after his previous two studio albums Dark Sky Paradise and I Decided both did in 2015 and 2017 respectively so I wanted to just give him a shout out for making it.
The second topic I wanted to talk about was Justin Bieber. The 26-year-old singer was recently called out on Instagram for his post saying "The right healthy food is actually medicine" and Dr. Joshua Wolrich, a British surgical doctor, challenged Bieber's post, warning him that although the "intention behind this post is good," it could potentially be quite harmful to his fans.
Wolrich wrote, "Food is many, many things but it's not medicine. That's not to say it isn't important – it provides us with nutrition and energy to thrive, but it has its limitations. Anxiety and depression is very rarely as a result of food intake. Mental health is complex and boiling is down to the privilege of food choices is incorrect and stigmatising for those who struggle with it on a daily basis."
Wolrich continued by saying, "For any of you who read this and felt a sense of guilt that if only you changed your food you wouldn't struggle with mental health… please know that's not accurate. You are doing a fantastic job – do not compare yourself to a celebrity with all the capacity for change and privilege in the world x."
This kind of made Bieber made however because the singer clapped back on his Instagram story by saying to "f-off." This made Beliebers mad and Wolrich decided to post a video on why what Bieber said could indeed be harmful.
Personally I don't think that Justin tried to be harmful with his post I think he was just trying to spread a little light to people as we still are in a global pandemic but I did think the "f-off" post was a little unnecessary though he did put "lol" it still was wrong. Though I will say that Wolrich could have maybe DM'd Bieber instead of making it public as it did seem a little humiliating for Justin and possibly embarrassing.
Anyway what do you all think of Big Sean going number one? And what do you all think of what Justin said on Instagram? Let me know below.
