Did Sabrina Carpenter & Olivia Rodrigo Write Diss Tracks About Each Other?

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. There have recently been some songs that have released by two Disney stars Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo and many think that there may possibly be tension or drama between them.

Olivia released her song "Driver's Licence" first. The song is about a heartbroken teenager watching her ex move on. Many people have assumed that the song itself is actually about her break-up with her High School Musical: The Musical Series co-star Joshua Bassett. The two are friends however, Joshua has perused a relationship with Disney actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter best known for her role on Boy Meets World spin-off Girl Meets World

Olivia sings "And you're probably with that blonde girl / Who always made me doubt / She's so much older than me / She's everything I'm insecure about."

Many people have assumed that the "blonde" was Sabrina Carpenter. Olivia has not confirmed or denied this but I wouldn't be surprised if she was talking about her because it is hard to see an ex move on if you have not been able to yet. I do also want to clarify that neither Olivia nor Joshua have said that they had dated, this has only been rumored but people think because of their chemistry on set and on screen that there may be actual feelings towards each other.

Sabrina a few days later dropped her own song "Skin." Her song is about dealing with certain situations that she has had to deal with. On Instagram Sabrina had said, "i was at a tipping point in my life for countless reasons. so i was inspired to do what i usually do to cope, write something that i wish i could have told myself in the past. people can only get to you if you give them the power to. and a lot of people were trying to get to me."

Many people were thinking that the song was a diss track towards Olivia since the lyrics read, "Maybe you didn’t mean it / Maybe blonde was the only rhyme” and “Don’t drive yourself insane / It won’t always be this way."

However, on Instagram Sabrina responded by saying it was not about Olivia but about a few people.

"The song isn’t calling out one single person. some lines address a specific situation, while other lines address plenty of other experiences I’ve had this past year. it also shows that many things have actually gotten under my skin.. and I’m still learning to not give other people so much power over my feelings. i know a lot of you struggle with the same thing."

She also said she "wasn’t bothered by a few lines in a (magnificent) song and wrote a diss track about it."

So luckily people can put the tension to rest because it seems like they are okay with each other. Anyway let me know in the comments if you like both "Driver's Licences" and "Skin" below.
