Selena Gomez's Rare Turned 1 Here Are My Top 5 Songs

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog. Today's post is going to be about Selena Gomez's sixth studio album Rare which released about a year ago.

The album is probably one of my favorite albums to come from 2020 and I wanted to share my top five songs from the album.

5. A Sweeter Place

"A Sweeter Place" comes in at number 5 on the list. The song featured Kid Cudi and song itself is about finally find peace and happiness after the many traumas that both Gomez and Cudi experienced individually. Cudi's experience with rehab and Gomez's experience dealing with lupus were just two things that they both had/have to deal with.


4. Let Me Get Me

"Let Me Get Me" comes in at number 4 of my top 5 from Rare. This song is about not letting anyone get to her because she had already been doing so in past. Someone who dealt with depression knows that at times they can be their own worst enemy and in this case this is what Gomez dealt with too. The song addresses that she wants to be happy and doesn't want her own mind to think otherwise.


3. Look At Her Now

"Look At Her Now" comes in at number 3 on this list. This was one of the more empowering songs for anyone dealing with either a break up and/or depression. This song is the afterwards part of dealing with a break up and finally ready to let it go and be happy again. The song also includes parts about being able to find love again both with someone else and in oneself.


2. Dance Again

"Dance Again" comes in at number 2 on this list. This song talks about someone who has dealt with serious depression and is finally able to be happy for themselves when they can get past it. The song is also about how you can let the negativity come in and take over or look on the positive side and feel free and to well "dance again."


1. Lose You To Love Me

"Lose You To Love Me" is my number 1 favorite song from the album Rare. This was so well written and sang for Gomez that I feel it still needs better recognition for it. The song talks about her "boyfriend" loving someone else rather then her yet he promises "the world" for her. The song for sure is about a toxic relationship and she was finally able to let him go and just love herself. Many people speculate that the song is about Justin Bieber as there is a lyric that says in "two months your replaced us" implying Bieber replaced her with his now wife Hailey Bieber.

Joshua Bassett Comes Out After Expressing The Love For Harry Styles

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Actor Joshua Bassett just recently had a coming out video where he talks about acceptance of love. The 20-year-old did an interview about this followed by an Instagram post afterwards explaining that he "chooses love" (so he could be bi or queer). He said, “My entire life people have told me my sexuality,” he wrote. “People have shamed me for things they know nothing about. I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance.” He added, “Love who you love shamelessly. It’s ok to still be figuring out who you are. Life’s too short to let ignorance and hatred win. I choose love.” He also talked about Harry Styles recently as well about how much he admired the singer. Keri Hilson Opens About FAKE Beef With Beyonce & Says She Would Be Open To Working Together

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Keri Hilson is finally opening about her past "beef" with Beyonce. The 38-year-old actress and singer-songwriter recently did an interview for her new TV movie Lust  and someone had asked her about her past "beef" with Beyonce. For those that don't know back in 2010, a version of Keri's song "Turnin' Me On" was remixed to "Turnin' Me Off" and it basically dissed both Beyonce and singer Ciara in the track. The beehive fanbase was not happy about this and basically trashed and almost ruined Keri Hilson's reputation after it was leaked online. Keri had opened up about it a few months ago saying that if she didn't do the song they were going to blackball her. Unfortunately for Keri, she was blackballed anyway from the industry.
