Small Grammy's Overview: Wins For Beyonce, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion & Snubs For Doja Cat & BTS

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Today's topic will actually be a small rundown of the Grammy's.

Just a couple of wins and snubs that I want to go over with everyone today. So I want to talk about some wins on Sunday first with Harry Styles. Harry Styles won Best Solo Pop Performance which I think was a wonderful choice. His entire album Fine Line is probably one of the best albums to have been released in 2019 and I'm glad he won the award because this is his first Grammy win.

Also, Billie Eilish won Record Of The Year which she was deserving of as well I would've been okay with Megan Thee Stallion won that category but I'm glad Billie did too. Megan Thee Stallion did win multiple awards last night with Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance & Best Rap Song so I'm really happy for Megan because she has had a fantastic year and musically I hope we see more from her. Also, Beyonce won the last two awards with Megan as well as Best R&B Performance too and now Beyonce has the most Grammy wins out of any female artist ever.

With those wins however, there were many losses/snubs last night. First of all Doja Cat didn't get a single Grammy which is such a shame because she was very deserving of one. Also, like Megan Doja too had a fantastic year with her single "Say So" and in every performance she was able to change her look for the song and keep things fresh.

BTS also had a snub last night for Best Pop/Duo Performance with their single "Dynamite." I know many fans were upset about this but I think they will win something bigger and better next time or even win one next year. I kind of have to agree that they along with Taylor Swift for her song "Exile" were more deserving of it verses "Rain On Me" with Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, I mean I like the song but both Gaga and Grande have way better material that could have been nominated instead.

I also, think there should have been another category for R&B albums, like best R&B male album and female album because in the best R&B album category only male artist were nominated and R&B princesses like H.E.R., Teyana Taylor, Kehlani and R&B queens like Toni Braxton and Brandy should have been nominated for Grammy's but that's just me. Also, I think Luke James should have won best R&B album verses John Legend cause I liked his music a bit more. I don't mean it as disrespect of John but his music all kind of sounds the same to me.

Other winners were Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Anderson Park & Nas.

Joshua Bassett Comes Out After Expressing The Love For Harry Styles

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Actor Joshua Bassett just recently had a coming out video where he talks about acceptance of love. The 20-year-old did an interview about this followed by an Instagram post afterwards explaining that he "chooses love" (so he could be bi or queer). He said, “My entire life people have told me my sexuality,” he wrote. “People have shamed me for things they know nothing about. I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance.” He added, “Love who you love shamelessly. It’s ok to still be figuring out who you are. Life’s too short to let ignorance and hatred win. I choose love.” He also talked about Harry Styles recently as well about how much he admired the singer. Keri Hilson Opens About FAKE Beef With Beyonce & Says She Would Be Open To Working Together

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Keri Hilson is finally opening about her past "beef" with Beyonce. The 38-year-old actress and singer-songwriter recently did an interview for her new TV movie Lust  and someone had asked her about her past "beef" with Beyonce. For those that don't know back in 2010, a version of Keri's song "Turnin' Me On" was remixed to "Turnin' Me Off" and it basically dissed both Beyonce and singer Ciara in the track. The beehive fanbase was not happy about this and basically trashed and almost ruined Keri Hilson's reputation after it was leaked online. Keri had opened up about it a few months ago saying that if she didn't do the song they were going to blackball her. Unfortunately for Keri, she was blackballed anyway from the industry.
