Fans Are Pissed Hulu Picked Up How I Met Your Father With Hilary Duff Verses A Lizzie McGuire Revival

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. It was just announced that Hilary Duff will be starring a new series for Hulu and it is a spin-off of another beloved show on CBS.

The 33-year-old actress and singer just announced on her Instagram that Hulu picked up a 10 episode order of the spin-off of How I Met Your Mother, How I Met Your Father.  The mother of three said she is “a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother,” so she’s “honored and even a little nervous” to take on the role of Sophie, who explains to her kids how she met their father. She added, “Just fangirling over here getting to join the Hulu Originals and 20th families. I realize these are big shoes to fill and I’m excited to slip my 6 ½’s in there!”

As there are many that are so happy Hilary is taking on this new role, many fans were disappointed that Hulu did not go with the Lizzie McGuire revival instead. One fan wrote, "“We all just wanted a Lizzie McGuire reboot not a How I Met Your Mother sequel with Hilary Duff" while another wrote, "We had to lose the LIZZIE MCGUIRE reboot for this mess? I’m absolutely furious.”

Now I want to say that I liked the original series How I Met Your Mother I thought it was a wonderful show (minus the ending) but I won't spoil just in case some just started to watch and of course I love Hilary Duff in basically anything she does, and I will support her in this role, but do I think they should've went with Lizzie McGuire instead, absolutely.

At the same time though, Disney is very strict with their shows and only will give them off to certain companies if it feels right. They probably don't want to give up Lizzie McGuire to another network or streaming service because of how beloved the original show was to fans. But anyway I will still support Hilary Duff with this new show but the ending better not be like How I Met Your Mother was.
