Justin Bieber Got Dread Locks...Again, Will He Ever Learn & Is It To Overshadow Selena Gomez?

Hello everybody welcome back to my blog. Today's topic is a bit big but it all revolves around Justin Bieber.

The 27-year-old has been accused of cultural appropriation. The singer-songwriter has just recently changed his hairstyle and posted pics onto Instagram with tons of backlash. Bieber had his dreadlocks tied back into pigtails and was wearing a fairly funky outfit consisting of high socks, red shorts, a checkered pink shirt and red sunglasses. Bieber posted his look once again later in the day, sharing a caption less, straight-faced selfie where his dreadlocks were on full display.

One fan wrote, “Honey, I love you but this ain’t,” and another chimed in with, “This one could’ve stayed in the drafts.” The outrageous look even had one user asking, “Everything good JB?” Others were more explicit with their dissapproval. “This is cultural appropriation … I know you can do better,” one person writes. Another adds: “J, please educate yourself on cultural appropriation … You shouldn’t be wearing dreads.”

Now this isn't the first time that Bieber was called out for this. In 2016, he had done the same thing and would go onto later apologize for it. However, this time around he has not said a word on it. Personally, I agree that this is cultural appropriation and Justin needs to be more considerate when he has a big fan base like his own. Also, this literally proves that even though he did it once, he didn't learn his lesson the first time and I have to be honest, its not cool of Justin to do so.

Many fans also thought that he did this because of Selena Gomez. I know people are probably tired of that as Selena is living her best life without him, but she too recently died her hair blonde and the internet went crazy about it. However, Selena displayed her picture a day before Justin displayed his so many think that this "coincidence" isn't one.

Honestly, I don't think Justin would purposefully change his hair style for Selena, however I feel like he was encouraged to do so by his team. This is the same with music releases from the two whenever Selena releases some type of music, Justin does between a week to a month later and I really believe that its Justin's team trying to make him be on the Selena Gomez train lol.
